In the nFTK Dutch pension funds are required to perform a so-called continuity-analysis. Pension Funds are required to perform such an analysis once in three years.
The continuity-analysis is a new instrument that enables the boards and the regulator to get insight in de financial position in the long-term (15 year forecast). Furthermore, solvency, indexation and premium risks will be made visible. During the analysis the focus lies on the available control-mechanisms of the Pension Fund.
The risk that the fund will not be able to meet her liabilities in the future can be recognized early on. The continuity-analysis can further be used to check for consistency with regard to commitments, financing and communication to participants of the plan.
ORTEC is able to perform this analysis. The analysis is performed with the use of PALM.
