ALM Investment Consulting Group
As part of the overall concept of ORTEC Pension Risk Management, we offer pension funds Investment Consulting: the transformation of the strategic asset mix taken from the Asset Liability Management(ALM) study to multiple asset classes and the further strategic and practical implementation thereof. In addition, the Investment Consulting Group produces reports that shed light on the short-term risks of the pension funds.
Job Description
As an Investment Consultant, you will:
- Contribute to ALM projects at pension funds, with emphasis on investment policy;
- Model various asset classes and alternative investments in the ALM-models of ORTEC, in close cooperation with our ALM consultants;
- Analyze the strategic and practical aspects of different investments and investment products;
- Develop, always with the wishes and restrictions of a client in mind, various suitable strategic norm portfolios that fit the ALM study;
- Contribute to short-term risk reports for pension funds and make concrete proposals based on these reports;
- Present the results of your analyses in a correct and pleasant manner to the Board or management of a pension fund;
- Promote the future development of the Investment Consulting group
Education & Experience
You have an academic degree in a quantitative field with economic aspects, for example Econometrics or Quantitative Economics. You finished the CFA- or VBA-training or show a willingness to do so in the future. You have several years of experience with ALM, strategic asset allocation and/or investments.
Skills
You have
- An analytical mind-set and good communicative skills (Dutch, English);
- Affinity with statistical models;
- A keen interest in the design of strategic investment portfolios for a pension fund or asset manager;
- A solid understanding of investment products and the practical aspects thereof.
