The ORTEC Centre for Financial Research (OCFR) strives to function as a bridge between ORTEC Finance and the academic research community. The people at the OCFR perform innovative and scientific research of high quality, but always with very clear and practical applications in mind. The research findings are utilized to (further) develop the models and solutions that make ORTEC Finance successful. As OCFR is still a very young institution, we are looking for talented and enthusiastic researchers who will contribute immediately to its future development.
Job Description
As a Researcher you will be responsible for executing quantitative and policy-related research projects. You will accordingly transfer the research findings to the practical models and solutions that ORTEC Finance employs. Furthermore, you will represent ORTEC Finance in the (academic) research community, by writing working papers and articles, giving presentations at commercial and scholarly seminars and teaching at the university level.
Education & Experience
You have received a Ph.D. in a quantitative discipline, preferably with a strong financial and economic direction, or are currently working toward it.
Skills
You have
- knowledge of financial and economic fields (pension funds, insurers, banking, macro-economics, investments, derivatives, time series models, etc.)
- demonstrated experience with the execution of quantitative research projects, preferably with a focus on practical application;
- demonstrated experience in the publication of research findings;
- great communication skills;
- excellent command of the Dutch and English language, both verbally and written.
