Software Development
The Software Development division designs and develops decision-supporting simulation systems for the financial market. These innovative and complex systems are implemented by ORTEC and its partners at asset managers, pension funds, insurers, housing corporations and municipalities. They are furthermore used as an auxiliary tool for the consultancy to our clients. The goal is to support our clients in a quantitative manner during the determination and execution of their strategic policy. We continuously exert ourselves to adapt our solutions to the special needs of the client and will define new products as well.
ORTEC develops and uses exclusively their own models and does not work on a detachment basis. To create high-quality systems we combine the modern development tools with a solid knowledge of the financial markets. Our employees are specialised in software development and IT, or they combine their affinity with software development with their knowledge and experience in the financial service sector. Our entire division attends a financial training program.
Job description
We are looking for a software developer who can help us with out .Net and .JEE projects. In teams ranging from 3 to 8 people, you will work towards the development of several excellent computing systems. In these efforts, you will work closely with the business units. With some regularity new releases are introduced, instigated by changes in legislation and regulations, our vision and the wishes of clients. We ask for your contribution in:
- joined thinking about new opportunities and functionalities of the products.
- development of insight and vision with regard to the models.
- connecting of the models with the operational systems of other suppliers.
- following the IT-trends and applying IT-technologies and concepts.
Education & Experience
You possess a college or university degree or a related education and one to four years of work experience. You are knowledgeable of, and have operated with Java, C# or C++. Work experience and a solid understanding of Databases and JEE is an advantage.
