OrtaX – a partner of ORTEC Finance – is a young and ambitious organisation specialised in the application of econometric / statistical models for the large-scale appraisals of real estate. The client base of OrtaX consists primarily of local governments, appraisal firms and housing corporations. Annually, over one million residencies and business and office properties in the Netherlands are appraised using our software.
Job Description
We are looking for a all round Software Developer who can assist in the maintenance and further improvement of the OrtaX Calculator. The OrtaX Calculator is a client / server application with the client developed in Visual Basic and connected to a Oracle database. We ask for your input and contributions regarding:
§ inventing and executing of new functionalities;
§ performing corrective maintenance;
§ lending support to clients;
§ aiding colleagues who are administering support on location;
§ tracking developments on the business side as well as in the field of information technology (IT).
Education & Experience
You possess a college or university degree (HBO/WO) in Computer Science or a related field and possibly some additional work experience. Moreover, you are knowledgeable of, and have already operated in the development and design of software. Understanding of databases is preferred.
