Na de recente uitbreiding in Zwitserland heeft ORTEC ook een kantoor in Londen geopend. ORTEC is al langere tijd actief in het Verenigd Koninkrijk, en bedient zijn cliënten, waaronder Lloyds TSB, Hermes Investment Management, en Cardano (UK Branche) vanuit Nederland. De reden voor een kantoor in Londen is dan ook niet zozeer het verkleinen van de fysieke afstand, maar vooral het overbruggen van de culturele afstand. Met de opening van een kantoor wil ORTEC Finance sterk betrokken zijn bij ontwikkelingen in het financiële hart van Europa.
Het kantoor staat onder leiding van Lucas Vermeulen. Lucas heeft binnen ORTEC Finance diverse afdelingen geleid, waaronder de business units verantwoordelijk voor Performance Evaluatie en Investment Consulting.
“De Britse markt stond altijd bekend als gesloten, maar dat is snel aan het veranderen. Met onze oplossingen zouden wij een behoorlijk toegevoegde waarde kunnen hebben”, aldus Lucas Vermeulen. “Met name de enorme pensioenmarkt is gediend met transparante en waar nodig op maat gesneden oplossingen. Bestuurders hebben behoefte aan een veel sterkere rol in het besluitvormingsproces, meer inzicht in de voor en tegens van alternatieven, en intuïtie voor oplossingsrichtingen. Producten en diensten die aan deze wens tegemoet komen zijn merkwaardigerwijs nog vrijwel niet beschikbaar in deze belangrijke pensioenmarkt. Daarom zien wij grote mogelijkheden voor ORTEC Finance.”
After the recent expansion in Switzerland, ORTEC Finance now has opened an office in London as well. ORTEC has been active in the United Kingdom for several years now. The British clients, among which Lloyds TSB, Hermes Investment Management and Cardano (UK Branche) are served from the offices in the Netherlands. The decision to open an office in London was not so much made to reduce the physical distance, but foremost to bridge the cultural gap between the Netherlands and the United Kingdom. The aim is to be strongly involved in the developments in the financial heart of Europe.
The office is managed by Lucas Vermeulen. Lucas has managed several divisions within ORTEC Finance, among which the Business Units Performance Evaluation and Investment Consulting.
“The British market was always known to be a closed market, but this is changing rapidly. Our solution can create quite some added value here”, said Lucas Vermeulen. “Especially the huge pension branch needs to be more transparent and could use, if necessary, tailor-made solutions. Trustees are in need for a much stronger role in the decision process, more insight in the pros and cons of any alternatives, and intuition for different solutions. Products and services that meet these wishes are, strangely enough, hardly available in this important market. We see a lot of opportunities there for ORTEC Finance.”
